After the NHL celebrated its own All-Star weekend in Toronto, they’re giving way over the next 48 hours to the next wave of budding stars as the American Hockey League will hold its 2024 All-Star Classic which will include a skills competition on Sunday and a series of games among divisional all-stars Monday in San Jose, California.

Before the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship has even begun, Canada’s had to shift its roster, particularly on the blue line. Hockey Canada announced Saturday that defensemen Ty Nelson and Jorian Donovan have been named to the team’s roster as previously-announced defensemen Tanner Molendyk (NSH) and Tristan Luneau (ANA) will not be able to participate for medical reasons.

Canada’s bid for three straight gold medals at the World Junior Championship hit an important milestone Monday as the roster for Hockey Canada’s selection camp was announced. Thirty players will be competing for spots on the final roster and as usual, Canada will enter the tournament with a great chance at being champion.

Gabe Perreault, a Boston College commit and projected first-round pick for the 2023 NHL Draft, made USA Hockey history Saturday after a five-point effort against Norway at the IIHF World Men's Under-18 Championship. The five points added to his season total give Perreault 121 this season for the U.S. National Under-18 Team, which is part of USA Hockey's National Team Development Program.
