MUST SEE: Midland Wins First ACHA National Title In Triple Overtime1:34

For the first time since the 2010 Frozen Four, the Wisconsin Badgers have picked up a massive win in the NCAA D1 Men's Hockey Tournament.

In a game that was tight up until the final ten minutes of the third period, the Badgers capitalized on a Dartmouth open net and lots of shots on goal to secure a 5-1 victory over the Dartmouth Big Green.

Wisconsin took the lead early in this second game of the Worcester regional. Simon Tassy picked up his first goal of the day in the first period.

The lead for the Badgers didn't last long though as Dartmouth responded just minutes later. Hank Cleaves got the puck in the back of the net to knot the score at one.

It would remain a tie game as both goalies in net for the two teams put on a masterclass. Daniel Hauser ended the game in net for the Badgers with 13 saves. Emmett Croteau ended the game out of net for the Big Green with 23 saves.

Wisconsin would seal the deal with just ten minutes left in the final period of regulation. Two empty net goals and Tassy's second goal of the day would secure the 5-1 victory.

The Badgers move to take on the Michigan State Spartans on Mar. 28 in the Worcester Regional Final.
