Meet 16-Year-Old Sensation Macklin Celebrini

Day two of Team Canada's men's hockey journey for Olympic gold is here with another Winter Olympics preliminary round game. This time, the likes of Sidney Crosby (PIT), Connor McDavid (EDM), Nathan MacKinnon (COL), and Macklin Celebrini (SJS) will be facing off against Switzerland on Friday, Feb 13.

After a resounding 5-0 win over Czechia, Canada's showed they have what looks like one of the most talented teams in all of Olympic hockey. Contributions came from all over the line up, including first-time Olympians and multiple-time World Champions.

After his strong performance on Thursday, Jordan Binnington (STL) will be taking a break. Josh Morrissey (WPG) has been pulled and Travis Sanheim (PHI) added after suffering an injury in the game against Czechia.

Seth Jarvis (CAR) stepped in with Brad Marchand stepping out.

  • Olympic hockey follows IIHF rules, not NHL rules. 
  • Any player who starts or participates in a fight is assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct. 
  • Officials can also issue additional discipline depending on severity.
