Every year, the Frozen Four brings the best teams in NCAA DI men's college hockey into one building for one weekend to compete for the national championship title as players make their way towards the NHL and other professional leagues.
In April of 2027, the Frozen Four takes the trip to Washington, D.C. for two days of championship hockey at Capital One Arena, home to the Washington Capitals.
The Denver Pioneers secured the 2026 national title, defeating Wisconsin by 2-1 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

When Is The 2027 Frozen Four Men's Hockey Tournament?
The 2027 DI Men's Frozen Four takes place on Thursday, April 8 and Saturday, April 10 at Capital One Arena.
The "Frozen Four" describes the final two rounds of the DI Men's Ice Hockey National Championship tournament.
Frozen Fest will open the day before two semifinal games on Friday determine who will move on to play for the national title on Saturday.

How Teams Get To The Frozen Four In 2027 And When Is The Selection Show?
The DI men's college ice hockey season includes 41 NCAA member institutions that are eligible to compete in the national championship.
Selections and the complete bracket will be announced on Sunday, March 21.
In 2027, 16 teams will make the single elimination tournament.
Of the 16, six conference champions will receive automatic qualification with the remaining 10 teams being selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Men's Ice Hockey Committee. The top four teams will be seeded and split up between the four regional sites.
Each site will host four teams who play in two single-elimination to see who will move on to the Frozen Four.

Denver won the NCAA DI men's hockey national championship title in 2026, beating Wisconsin during the final, 2-1 on April 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
