The Trois-Rivières Lions enter the 2026-27 ECHL season with one of the league's most distinctive development connections. The Lions are affiliated with the Montréal Canadiens and the AHL's Laval Rocket, creating an all-Quebec Montréal Canadiens → Laval Rocket → Trois-Rivières Lions pathway.
Trois-Rivières began ECHL play in 2021-22 and plays at Colisée Vidéotron. The affiliation with Montréal and Laval dates to the Lions' launch, giving Canadiens fans an established professional level below the AHL to monitor.
