Manitoba Moose at Laval Rocket – 7 pm ET
An all-Canadian match-up gets underway this weekend as the Moose visit Place Bell for games Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
The trip to Laval will finish a six-game road trip for the Moose, who have gone 1-2-1-0 so far. The Rockford IceHogs routed them on Tuesday night, 6-2. The Moose also took a 7-3 drubbing in Milwaukee on Jan. 8 to begin the journey. This trek has also seen defensemen Isaak Phillips and Elias Salomonsson both recalled to the Winnipeg Jets. Manitoba is 17-14-3-0 to hold down third place in the Central Division.
Laval got a boost Friday with the Montreal Canadiens assigning both goaltender Jacob Fowler and forward Owen Beck to the Rocket. The pair had been with the Habs since being recalled Dec. 9. Fowler, a rookie, has gone 10-5-0 | 2.09 | .919 in 15 games with the Rocket and was named an AHL All-Star pick this week. Beck went 3-8-11 in 22 games for Laval before his promotion to Montreal. Laval has taken a four-point lead for first place in the North Division at 22-12-1-1.

Cleveland Monsters at Providence Bruins – 7:00 pm
Providence had a rare down night this past Wednesday, dropping a 4-1 decision to the visiting Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. That result left the two teams tied for the Eastern Conference lead at 51 points.
The 25-8-1-0 P-Bruins will be one of three teams in the league to have four representatives at the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic presented by BMO next month. Playing captain Patrick Brown, defenseman Frederic Brunet, and goaltender Michael DiPietro will join head coach Ryan Mougenel in the Providence contingent. The P-Bruins took a pair of wins, one of them in overtime, when they visited Cleveland on Nov. 7-8.
The Monsters, 17-12-4-1 and fifth in the North Division, are coming off a split of a two-game visit to Hershey last weekend. They have been dangerous away from Cleveland, tying for fourth in the league with 10 road wins this season. Their penalty kill ranks fourth overall at 84.5 percent, just ahead of fifth-place Providence (84 percent). Tight defensively, they have struggled to score and sit 28th at 2.65 goals per game. Top prospects Luca Del Bel Belluz (10-14-24) and Luca Pinelli (9-14-23) lead the Cleveland attack, but forward Mikael Pyyhtiä remains on recall to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Bakersfield Condors at Calgary Wranglers – 3 pm ET/1 pm MT
The AHL’s version of the Battle of Alberta resumes at Scotiabank Saddledome with a pair of games this weekend.
The Wranglers swept Bakersfield in a two-game set in Calgary to open November before the Condors took a 5-2 home win Nov. 18. But Bakersfield will bring a 6-0-1-0 streak into the weekend and has emerged as one of the Pacific Division’s most dangerous teams. Rookie AHL All-Star forward Quinn Hutson is challenging for the league lead in both goals and points (23-15-38 in 30 games). He also leads the AHL in rookie scoring for the 19-10-6-0 Condors, who are third in the Pacific Division.
Sixth in the Pacific Division, the 15-14-7-2 Wranglers will have forward Martin Pospisil on a conditioning loan from the Calgary Flames. Pospisil, who played 81 games last season with the Flames, has yet to play this season since sustaining an injury in training camp. He played 113 AHL regular-season games as a Flames prospect across five seasons before making the full-time jump to the NHL. ECHL All-Star selection Arsenii Sergeev has taken the past three starts in net for the Wranglers. The 2021 seventh-rounder set a Wranglers team record with 52 saves in his AHL debut Dec. 21 against the San Diego Gulls. Along with six games with the Wranglers, he is 6-6-0 | 2.94 | .922 in 12 games for their ECHL affiliate, the Rapid City Rush.
