The London Knights and Ottawa 67’s are going to be locked in competition on Friday Night Faceoff and we’re not talking about bobbing for apples. Two of the OHL’s top squads take the ice at 7 p.m. ET with the game airing live and free on FloHockey’s YouTube, Facebook and X pages (see details below). FloHockey subscribers can enjoy the game as they usually do on FloHockey.tv or via the FloSports app.
A cross-conference clash sounds like an awfully good time, especially with how well these two clubs have been playing of late.
The Knights may be sixth in the OHL overall in terms of points, but they have the third-best points percentage in the league at .731, with an 8-2-3 record. As the defending champion, some thought they could take a small step back with the amount of talent lost from last year’s team. While they might not be dominant, they’re outplaying a lot of their opponents regularly. Winning seems to be a habit in London.
Meanwhile, over in Ottawa, who will be hosting the current OHL and Memorial Cup title holders, the 67’s have been enjoying a strong start to their season.
Most recently, the 67’s scored an overtime win over Brampton in a school day game that was hosted at TD Place. If you have been around an elementary school-aged child at any point in the last month, you will understand the harrowing experience it must have been for all the teachers brining their students to a game where one of the team’s literal names has 6 and 7 in it. If you don’t understand the reference, consider yourself lucky.
We're getting spooky for #FridayNightFaceoff!

Beyond the meme-perfect moment for Ottawa this week, they’re playing good hockey.
The 67’s are eighth overall in the OHL with 17 points in the standings, they’re enjoying a plus-10 goal differential and that’s without their special teams clicking quite yet. They have the second-worst penalty kill and third-worst power play in terms of percentage so far this season. But at five-on-five, Ottawa is cooking.
They’re also doing it with some balance. The team is led by three forwards – Cooper Foster, rookie Thomas Vandenberg and Nic Whitehead, each of whom have 12 points. Foster has eight goals in that mix. Rookie goalie Ryan Fetterolf has also been a bright spot with a .919 save percentage with a 5-2-1 record.
The test Ottawa faces Friday night, however, is a big one.
London has enough veterans on their squad to carry the mail a bit offensively. Captain Sam O’Reilly has led the team thusfar with 14 points, while Ben Wilmott has been scoring clutch goals to the tune of seven tallies on the season and a second-best 13 points.
Meanwhile, the Knights just added a big piece to their offense in a trade with the Niagara IceDogs to acquire Braidy Wassilyn, a player some view as a first-round talent for this year’s draft. Wassilyn had two assists in his Knights debut, a 6-1 win over Peterborugh Tuesday.
Vancouver Canucks prospect Aleksei Medvedev has been a shining star thusfar this season, too. He is 5-1-1-0 with a .923 save percentage and 1.99 goals-against average. After sharing the net last season, he is thriving as the team’s true No. 1 in 2025-26.
