The Syracuse Crunch, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning, are preparing for the 2025-26 season with the goal of capturing the franchise's first Calder Cup.

Coming off a season where they reached the second round of the AHL playoffs, the Crunch will again be led by head coach Joel Bouchard. As a perennial playoff team, the club has established itself as a key development center for the Lightning's top prospects.

The team will look to its mix of developing prospects and veteran leadership to compete for the division title.

The Crunch play their home games at the Upstate Medical University Arena and will open their season at home on Oct. 11 against their division rival, the Utica Comets.

What Was The Syracuse Crunch Record Last Season?

The Syracuse Crunch ended their season in the Division Semifinals round of the 2025 Calder Cup playoffs to the Rochester Americans. They finished the regular season 37-23-8-4 with 86 points and 3rd in their division.

Who Is The Head Coach Of Syracuse Crunch?

The head coach of the Syracuse Crunch is Joel Bouchard. He has been the head coach since June of 2023. He was also named the General Manager in July 2025.
