The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The team is a development house for the youngest rising talent and experienced players pushing their skills or rehabilitating from injuries to return to the National Hockey League
They are looking to build in 2025 after having their last two seasons cut short in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs by the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
The WBS Penguins have struggled in to get past the first round of the playoffs in recent years, advancing as far as the second round in 2022.
