With tonight marking the kick-off of the 2025 AHL All-Star weekend, AHL teams across the country were not taking it easy against one another, as many games went down to the wire even after earning overtime from keeping things tied heading out of the third period.

There were eight overtime games, four of which went into a shootout, with the Rockford IceHogs defeating the Milwaukee Admirals, Ontario Reign getting the win over the Tucson Roadrunners, and the Henderson Sliver Knights knocking off the San Jose Barracuda to name a few.

On the other side of the spectrum, Chicago Wolves walloped Manitoba Moose with some help from Bradly Nadeau, who scored twice in each of the Carolina Hurricanes' affiliates last two games. Sahil Panwar also earned his first (and second) goals of the season—his first in a Wolves jersey.

Given the way these teams have been unrelenting with less than half of the season left heading into the Calder Cup playoffs, expect the players to take the same fire into the AHL All-Star game as the best players from the Central, Atlantic, and North divisions look to prevent the Pacific from three-peating.
