2024 World Juniors Semifinals Schedule: USA vs Finland, Sweden vs. Czechia
The 2024 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships have reached the semifinal round, which includes USA Hockey and host Sweden. Here's the schedule.
The 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship semifinals will begin on Jan. 4 in Sweden, but one of the sports premier teams won't be there.
Defending back-to-back champion Canada was stunned in the quarterfinals by Czechia, 3-2, and were eliminated from the field. Canada's ouster means that the United States, the top seed in the knockout stage, is the overwhelming favorite to win the WJC. The Americans beat Czechia in an overtime shootout in group play, 4-3, on Dec. 29.
