FloHockey Archives: Northern Michigan Day

College hockey is over for the season, and fans across the country were devastated when the fallout from COVID-19 dashed conference tournaments and the Frozen Four. But just because we lost the end of the hockey season doesn’t mean we can’t look back at all the awesome moments we witnessed over the 2019-20 campaign.

For that reason, FloHockey is running a series over the next few weeks to spotlight teams from the WCHA and Atlantic Hockey, looking at the top five games from each team.

Next up: Northern Michigan.

Last up on our teams from the WCHA, the Wildcats had another great year in which they finished third in conference play. In some sense they were the "best of the rest," as Northern fell below powerhouse Minnesota State and a very good Bemidji State squad that was nipping at the heels of the Mavericks all year long. The Wildcats had some stellar moments this year, including topping Minnesota State and playing national title contender St. Cloud State to a 3-3 tie.

Here’s what the schedule looks like for today:

11 AM*: Northern Michigan vs St. Cloud State, Nov. 8

1 PM: Northern Michigan vs Minnesota State, Nov. 14

3 PM: Northern Michigan vs Bowling Green, Jan. 3

5 PM: Northern Michigan vs Bowling Green, Jan. 4

7 PM: Northern Michigan vs Lake Superior State, Feb. 22

*All times are Central.

Remember you can watch every Alabama Huntsville game that aired on FloHockey this season on-demand either on the site or in one of our apps: iOS, Google Play, Fire TV, and Roku. Find the complete list of on-demand games here.

Next season will be here sooner than we think.
