FloHockey Archives: Minnesota State Day

College hockey is over for the season, and fans across the country were devastated when the fallout from COVID-19 dashed conference tournaments and the Frozen Four. But just because we lost the end of the hockey season doesn’t mean we can’t look back at all the awesome moments we witnessed over the 2019-20 campaign.

For that reason, FloHockey is running a series over the next few weeks to spotlight teams from the WCHA and Atlantic Hockey, looking at the top five games from each team.

Next up: Minnesota State.

There are a lot of good teams in the WCHA, but the Mavericks reign supreme. This year Minnesota State successfully defended their conference title, hovered near the top of the national rankings all year long, and was one of just a few teams with a legitimate shot at the national title — a chance they lost when COVID-19 prematurely ended the season. Even so, the Mavericks had another ridiculous year, racking up 23 conference wins (31 total) and causing plenty of destruction along the way. If you like goals, you're going to love these games.

Here’s what the schedule looks like for today:

11 AM*: Minnesota State vs Arizona State, Oct. 12

1 PM: Minnesota State vs North Dakota, Oct. 19

3 PM: Minnesota State vs Alabama Huntsville, Feb. 21

5 PM: Minnesota State vs Alabama Huntsville, Feb. 22

7 PM: Minnesota State vs Alaska Anchorage, March 7

*All times are Central.

Remember you can watch every Alabama Huntsville game that aired on FloHockey this season on-demand either on the site or in one of our apps: iOS, Google Play, Fire TV, and Roku. Find the complete list of on-demand games here.

Next season will be here sooner than we think.
