FloHockey Archives: Army Day

College hockey is over for the season, and fans across the country were devastated when the fallout from COVID-19 dashed conference tournaments and the Frozen Four. But just because we lost the end of the hockey season doesn’t mean we can’t look back at all the awesome moments we witnessed over the 2019-20 campaign.

For that reason, FloHockey is running a series over the next few weeks to spotlight teams from the WCHA and Atlantic Hockey, looking at the top five games from each team.

Next up: Army.

The Black Knights had a fantastic year under head coach Brian Riley, and they were slated for a home-ice clash against Niagara in the Atlantic Hockey playoffs before COVID-19 canceled the proceedings. Even so, Army's accomplishments this year were many. Among their top five games of the season are a 4-1 clobbering of conference champs AIC, a 5-4 barn-burner against New Hampshire, and a 4-2 win over Canisius late in the season to break a losing streak and keep their home-ice hopes alive.

Here’s what the schedule looks like for today:

11 AM*: Army vs AIC, Nov. 26

1 PM: Army vs Robert Morris, Dec. 14

3 PM: Army vs New Hampshire, Dec. 29

5 PM: Army vs Ohio State, Jan. 4 (part of the Fortress Invitational; game begins around the 4:04:00 mark)

7 PM: Army vs Canisius, Feb. 1

*All times are Central.
