One of the greatest rivalries in American sports will be renewed this weekend when No. 6 Ohio State hosts No.17 Michigan in a two-game series at Value City Arena.

The Buckeyes (15-5-4, 8-5-1-0) and Wolverines (12-10-2, 7-7-2-1) will face off at 7 PM (CT) on Friday and 8 PM (CT) on Saturday.

Ohio State swept the previous series between the teams back in November, winning 3-2 and 5-1 on November 24-25, respectively.

The Buckeyes have won seven of their last eight games and enter on a four-game home winning streak. Big Blue has won four straight overall.

Ohio State is the best team in the nation on the penalty kill, stopping 82 of 91 power play chances this season. By contrast, the group has at least one power play goal in each of their past five games.

The Buckeyes would also be well-served to get on the board first. Ohio State is undefeated (10-0-2) when scoring first.
