MADISON, Wis. — After leading the No. 1 Wisconsin women's hockey team to a sweep at No. 6 Minnesota, senior forward Baylee Wellhausen and sophomore goaltender Kristen Campbell have earned WCHA weekly honors, the league announced Tuesday.

Wellhausen received WCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Campbell's play in the net earned her the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week award. In addition, Campbell was also named the NCAA Third Star of the Week on Tuesday.

After scoring her first goal of the season in UW's 3-2 win over the Golden Gophers on Saturday, Wellhausen came up clutch for the Badgers in their 2-1 OT win on Sunday. The senior co-captain scored the game-winning goal 1:32 into OT to help the Badgers complete their first road sweep of Minnesota since the 2006-07 season.

Wellhausen ended the weekend with a +3 plus/minus rating and six shots on goal to earn her first WCHA honor of the year.

Campbell was the only WCHA netminder to earn a pair of wins last weekend, stopping 41 of the 44 shots she faced from the Gophers. The sophomore had a 1.48 goals-against average against Minnesota, who came into the weekend averaging 3.38 goals per game. She also posted a .932 save percentage to improve to an NCAA-best 12-0-0 on the season.

This is Campbell's second WCHA defensive honor of the year after being named the WCHA Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 10.

The Badgers return home to host No. 4 Ohio State in a two-game series at LaBahn Arena this weekend. Puck drop on Saturday is set for 2 p.m. CT while Sunday's series finale begins at noon.
