UNLV hockey assistant coach Nick Robone was shot in the chest on Sunday night during the mass shooting in Las Vegas, which left 59 dead and over 500 injured. The 28-year-old was immediately hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery after a successful surgery.

The team released the following statements via its social media outlets:

According to Brian Joseph of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Robone was attending Route 91 Harvest with his younger brother when 64-year-old Stephen Paddock continuously fired on the crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.

The attack is now considered the deadliest in modern U.S. history.
