Scouting Report

Stenberg had a historic kind of run this year playing in the SHL and later at the World Junior and Men’s World Championships. He won gold at the former, leading the team in scoring, and had the third most productive season by a draft-eligible in the SHL, trailing only the Sedin twins. 

By all accounts, Stenberg is a high-end winger with a competitive edge and the ability to score. He is quick, has a good motor on him and is excellent in puck pursuit. The only real downside is that he doesn’t have the size teams covet and isn’t as dynamic as McKenna, but he is a bit more complete in terms of the ways he can impact the game.
