The Carolina Hurricanes are your 2026 Stanley Cup Final champions, dominating Game 6 3-0 to win the series on the road and bring the trophy back to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Game 6 was a defensive masterclass from Carolina. The change from Frederick Andersen to Brandon Bussi at goalie at the start of Game 4 completely changed the series. Bussi put on a defensive masterclass in his starts and was a major part of Carolina's success.

Vegas just couldn't muster up any offensive momentum. They went 18 minutes from the second to third period without any shots on goal and went 30 minutes with just two shots on goal. Carolina controlled the entire game start to finish.

For the first time in 20 years, the Carolina Hurricanes are the Stanley Cup Champions, defeating the Las Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 in the series.

It's almost official, the Carolina Hurricanes are the Stanley Cup champions! Nikolaj Ehlers scores the empty netter to solidify a Hurricanes masterclass in Game 6.

5 Minutes for the Golden Knights to Stay Alive - 5:11 3rd - 10:43 p.m. ET

Vegas has only two shots on goal in 30 minutes. They have five minutes left to find a way to close the scoring gap and at least send Game 6 into overtime.

The Hurricanes are on the verge of their first Stanley Cup Final in 20 years.

Vegas has only scored two power play goals in six games this series, but they will have the man advantage after Eric Robinson is called for high sticking.

The Golden Knights went 18 minutes without a single shot on goal but now have two shots on goal in the last five minutes. The Vegas offense is improving slowly in the third period.

However, they still remain scoreless and time is running out for the Knights to extend their season for one more game.

The Carolina Hurricanes have dominated the Las Vegas Golden Knights through two periods of Game 6. Can the Golden Knights create some offensive momentum or will the Hurricanes cruise to their first Stanley Cup in 20 years?

The Hurricanes are 20 minutes away from a Stanley Cup. The Golden Knights put zero shots on goal in the last 16 minutes of the second period. Carolina has been dominant in every aspect of the game.

Vegas hasn't put a shot on goal in nearly 10 minutes at Carolina is starting to pull away in Game 6.

Nikolaj Ehlers Takes a Stick to the Face, No Penalty Called - 12:46 2nd - 9:34 p.m. ET

The game goes to commercial as an uncalled high stick sends the Hurricanes' Nikolaj Ehlers to the ice.

In the second period, both Brandon Bussi and Carter Hart have gone back and forth making saves to keep the score at 1-0 for Carolina. Vegas and Carolina will face-off in the Hurricanes zone.

Carolina Outlasts Vegas Power Play to Start the 2nd - 19:00 2nd - 9:19 p.m. ET

Brandon Bussi and the Hurricanes continue to withstand the attack from the Knights, surviving the last 40 seconds of the Golden Knights power play to start the second period.

Carolina has largely been on the defensive since their goal from Taylor Hall, but Vegas has been unable to break through.

Vegas Nearly Ties the Game, Bussi Makes Massive Save - End of 1st

The Golden Knights were up a man after Logan Stankoven was called for cross-checking against Mitch Marner. Vegas put multiple great shots on goal, but a diving save from Brandon Bussi keeps the Hurricanes up at the end of the period.

Vegas will still have 40 seconds left on the power play at the start of the second period.

Andrei Svechnikov catches Carter Hart out of position and nearly puts the Hurricanes up two goals, but the puck can't find the net.

Carolina is putting shots on goal aggressively in the first period as the Hurricanes offense can sense a Stanley Cup Final win. The Knights defense has largely help up aside from the Taylor Hall goal.

Hurricanes Called for First Penalty of the Game - 9:34 1st - 8:40 p.m.

The Golden Knights will have the first man advantage of the game after Jackson Blake is called for tripping Jackson Blake.

Vegas has struggled scoring on the power play throughout the series, but tying up the game in the first period would go a long way to reversing momentum for the Golden Knights.

Taylor Hall Comes Back From Injury, Scores First for Carolina - 16:13 1st - 8:28 p.m. ET

VGK 0, CAR 1

Taylor Hall appeared to grimace on the bench after his first line shift, but comes back in the game for opens the scoring for the Hurricanes.

Hall got out onto the open ice off the pass from Jaccob Slavin and puts the puck to the right of Carter Hart. The Hurricanes are off to a hot start in Vegas.

The Chicago Wolves played Game 2 of the 2026 Calder Cup Finals on Sunday, June 14 after an impressive playoff run through the Western Conference. The Carolina Hurricanes affiliate opened the postseason by eliminating the Texas Stars in five games before knocking off the Central Division champion Grand Rapids Griffin and surviving seven games against the Colorado Eagles.
