The Calder Cup Finals Schedule Is Set: Chicago Wolves vs Toronto Marlies

The Toronto Marlies punched their ticket to the Calder Cup Finals on Sunday. Game one against the Wolves is Friday. Stream it all live on FloHockey.

After more than a month and a half of Calder Cup Playoffs hockey, the finals are set between the Toronto Marlies and the Chicago Wolves.

The Marlies had to battle tooth and nail every step of the way, earning a record of 12-7 and playing just one game short of the maximum possible.

To start, Toronto ended the Rochester Americans' six season streak of making it to the division semifinals round of the playoffs.

Then, the No. 4 seed wiped out No. 1 Laval Rocket, ending their run after an extended, five-game series that went back and forth.

In the next round, the Cleveland Monsters took a 2-1 series lead before the Marlies won out to earn their spot in the Conference Finals.

Then, WBS Penguins took the Marlies to overtime in game six, but it still wouldn't be enough to stop them.

In the Western Conference final, the Chicago Wolves and Colorado Eagles took things to game seven after a heroic effort and two goals in the third period from the Carolina Hurricanes affiliate during game six stretched the series.

The Wolves started their journey as the No. 2 seed in the Central Division. They opened the playoffs against the Texas Stars, ending their season in five.

Then, Chicago knocked off the top-seeded Grand Rapids Griffins to earn their spot in the conference final. The Griffins were a team that had just come off a 107-point regular season, 2nd in the league.
