The 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships rosters are locked in.

Amongst the talent wearing the maple leaf-adorned sweaters will be young star Macklin Celebrini and experienced veterans John Tavares and Evan Bouchard.

Hockey Canada announced on just before the tournament began that Sidney Crosby would also be hitting the ice to represent his country once again this year.

Team USA opened group play against Switzerland with a rematch of the 2025 gold medal match that resulted in the Americans' first title in the tournament in 92 years. 

Matthew Tkachuk joined the team in Zurich after missing out on the IIHF World Championships in 2025, he has earned a Stanley Cup title and the Olympic gold since then.
