Canada is headed back to the Olympic gold medal game after a stunning 3-2 comeback win over Finland in the semifinals.

Finland struck first on Mikko Rantanen’s early power-play blast, then doubled the lead in the second when Erik Haula scored shorthanded to make it 2-0.

Juuse Saros was sharp and seemed to have Canada’s push under control, but the Canadians finally broke through on a power play in the second period when Sam Reinhart redirected a Cale Makar shot to cut the deficit to one.

Canada’s pressure kept building in the third. Shea Theodore tied it 2-2 with a long-range rocket, setting up a frantic finish.

With time winding down and a late power play expiring, Connor McDavid found Nathan MacKinnon for the go-ahead goal with 35 seconds left, completing the rally.

Canada outshot Finland 39-16 and will face the winner of USA vs. Slovakia for gold.

Recap the game as it happened below.
