Roster Changes Announced For AHL All-Star Classic
The AHL announced several roster changes Tuesday for next week’s AHL All-Star Classic presented by BMO. The Rockford IceHogs will host the event Feb. 10-11.
The AHL announced several roster changes Tuesday for next week’s AHL All-Star Classic presented by BMO.
In are forwards Brendan Brisson (Hartford Wolf Pack), Tanner Laczynski (Henderson Silver Knights), Brian Halonen (Utica Comets), and Ben Steeves (Charlotte Checkers) along with Lehigh Valley Phantoms defenseman Christian Kyrou. It is the first AHL All-Star selection for each player.
They will replace forwards Denver Barkey (Lehigh Valley) and Gabe Perreault (Hartford), defensemen Tobias Bjornfot (Charlotte) and Seamus Casey (Utica), and Henderson goaltender Carl Lindbom. With Lindbom out, a second goaltender for the Pacific Division is still to be announced.
Hosted by the Rockford IceHogs, the AHL All-Star Skills Competition is set for next Tuesday, Feb. 10 (8 ET/7 CT). The AHL All-Star Challenge will go Wednesday, Feb. 11 (8 ET/7 CT) as each of the AHL’s four divisions will compete in a 3-on-3, round-robin tournament. Next year’s AHL All-Star Classic will be hosted by the Cleveland Monsters.
