LA Kings Prospect Carter George Scores Historic Goalie Goal In OHL
Soo Greyhounds goalie and LA Kings prospect Carter George scored his second career goal in Wednesday night's game against the London Knights.

Soo Greyhounds goalie Carter George knows how to play the puck and showed off his accuracy by scoring a goal Wednesday night.. The Los Angeles Kings draft pick sent the puck 200 feet into the empty net to help the Greyhounds pick up a 5-2 win over the London Knights. It is George's second career goal, making him the first goalie in OHL history to score more than once in his career.
George was helping the Greyhounds cling to a 3-2 lead when the puck was sent into his zone. While most goalies try to play it safe in a one-goal game, that was not the case for the fourth-year OHL netminder. George was under pressure, but still got the shot off going all the way from behind his own net into the yawning London cage.
The second-round pick in 2024 was appearing in just his fourth game with the Soo after being traded following the World Junior Championship, where he represented Team Canada and won bronze.
George has appeared in 139 games over his OHL career, most of which was played with the Owen Sound Attack.
He is undefeated since joining the Soo, with a 4-0-0 record, allowing just five goals so far protecting the Greyhounds’ net.
