Patrick Brown, Jayson Megna Named AHL All-Star Classic Captains
Patrick Brown and Jayson Megna will wear the "C" for their respective teams at the AHL All-Star Classic next month.

Each year, the AHL selects two playing captains for the AHL All-Star Classic in recognition of their leadership and service within the league over the years. The players selected by AHL President and CEO Scott Howson for the honor this season are Patrick Brown of the Providence Bruins and Jayson Megna of the Colorado Eagles.

The two veteran AHLers will captain their respective teams at the AHL All-Star Classic including the AHL All-Star Skills Competition and AHL All-Star Challenge in Rockford, Ill., Feb. 10-11.
Brown is in his 12th season of professional hockey spanning 531 regular-season games in the AHL. He is in his second year as captain with the Providence Bruins and served in the same role for three seasons with the Charlotte Checkers, including when they won the Calder Cup in 2019. He also wore the C with the Henderson Silver Knights and wore an A with the Chicago Wolves for one season. Brown has also appeared in 164 career NHL games.
This season, he’s been among the AHL’s top performers with 34 points in 30 games for the P-Bruins, which puts him fourth in the league.
Megna is in his 14th professional season and sixth with the Colorado Eagles. He has appeared in 579 AHL games, representing the Eagles, Providence Bruins, Hershey Bears, Utica Comets, Hartford Wolf Pack and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Megna has made 164 NHL appearances as well.
Both players will be participating in the AHL All-Star Classic for the first time.
