It's finally here, after almost half a year since the twelve 2026 Winter Olympics hockey teams released the "first six" players on each roster—and now we finally know the remaining 19 Canadians that will join them on the trip representing their nation in Milano-Cortina to try to stake their claim on an Olympic medal.

Rosters were due to the Winter Olympics on Dec. 31 and that's initiated an onslaught of announcements from the participating nations, led by France.

Team Canada's Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid will be flanked by a slew of the National Hockey League's (NHL) best talent. Crosby is set to return for an attempt at earning his third Olympic Gold after winning in Vancouver in 2010 and Sochi in 2014—the last two tournaments in which NHL players competed.

The list of players joining two-time reigning Stanley Cup Champion Matthew Tkachuk and brother Brady Tkachuk on Team USA will be revealed live on January 2 on NBC's TODAY.

Injuries in NHL regular season play have played their part as well, removing 4 Nations players Travis Konecny and Seth Jarvis from Canada's options.

Olympic hockey play begins in early February and the Gold medal will placed around the winners' necks on Sunday, February 22.

When and Where Are The Winter Olympics - Milano Cortina 2026?

The 2026 Winter Olympics, known as Milano Cortina 2026, is scheduled to take place from February 6 to February 22, 2026. 

Preliminary hockey rounds will begin on Thursday, February 5. Competition will continue throughout the week and conclude with the women's gold medal match on Thursday, February 19. The men's gold medal match will be played on Sunday, February 22 at Milano Santa Giulia Ice Hockey Arena.

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will take place at multiple sites across Lombardy and Northeast Italy. Ice events will be hosted in Milan and other events to be hosted around Cortina and in the Valtellina and Fiemme valleys across Italy.

The joint-host were selected in 2019 and are the first Olympic Games to be co-hosted by multiple cities.
