The teams last met one year ago, when Latvia earned a surprising 3-2 victory. Canada returns six players from last year’s World Juniors roster, adding intrigue to the rematch.

In their opener, Canada rallied from a 3-2 deficit by scoring four goals in the third period to secure the win.
