After a slew of roster moves and a scoop by Kevin Weekes shared on X, it looks likely that Carter Hart could make his first NHL start for the Vegas Golden Knights just weeks after his return to professional hockey.

He played his first professional game in nearly two years on Sunday, Nov. 16 in a 5-2 Henderson Silver Knights win over the Calgary Wranglers in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Hart was found not guilty of sexual assault charges in July 2025, resulting from an alleged assault in 2018 that included four teammates from the 2018 Canadian national junior team.

The judge found that there was not enough "credible or reliable" evidence to meet the onus of any of the counts.

Earlier this year, the National Hockey League and NHL Player's Association determined that Hart would be eligible once again to play in the league starting on December 1. Shortly thereafter, the Vegas Golden Knights announced his addition to their roster.

After just three games with their AHL affiliate, it looks like the Golden Knights are ready to bring him in sooner rather than later. They recalled him from loan to the Silver Knights on Nov. 29.

On Sunday, Nov. 30, Kevin Weekes posted that the goalie is likely to make his debut on Tuesday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.
