The AHA slate features a pair of conference matchups this weekend – Air Force at Canisius and Robert Morris at Mercyhurst – along with a non-conference series, two solo games on Saturday and two teams will play in Northern Ireland. The full schedule can be viewed here.

Here’s what fans can watch for.

Across The Pond

Two AHA teams are playing in the Friendship Four this weekend in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Sacred Heart faces Union on Friday, followed by RIT vs. Miami. The losers will play a consolation game on Saturday at 10 a.m. EST, followed by the championship game at 2 p.m. All four games will be available here on FloHockey.

The Friendship Four is the only Division I hockey tournament played outside of North America and takes place at the home of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). SHU and RIT are the first AHA teams to ever compete in the event.

Sacred Heart (6-5-1, 4-3-1) is coming off a 7-2 win over Long Island, while RIT (9-4-0, 6-4-0) has dropped its past two to Bentley (2-1) and Niagara (3-2, OT). However, the Tigers had previously won nine straight.

Trudeau On A Tear

Sacred Heart forward Felix Trudeau continued his torrid November with three goals in that win over LIU. Trudeau netted a hat trick, including two power-play tallies, and has eight goals over his past three games. The senior is one of just nine skaters in AHA history with two hat tricks in a single month.

Trudeau leads AHA with 12 goals on the season and his 15 points are tied for second. The Maine transfer had 38 points last winter, giving him 53 points (27-26-53) through 50 games with the Pioneers. Sacred Heart (6-5-1, 4-3-1) sits fourth in the AHA standings.

Men’s Notes

  • Holy Cross fell at No. 8 Quinnipiac on Wednesday in overtime, 7-6. Holy Cross senior Matt DeBoer had a hat trick in the loss, while Jack Stockfish picked up three assists. Sophomore Noah Eyre also had a pair of points (1-1-2).
  • Holy Cross has lit the lamp 57 times this season, which is tied for second in the country. The Crusaders are averaging 3.6 goals per game, which is tied for 12th nationally.
  • The AHA announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday. Sacred Heart forward Felix Trudeau, Air Force defenseman Chris Hedden, Air Force goaltender Dominik Wasik and Canisius forward Kyan Haldenby (Rookie)  took home the respective honors.
  • Air Force earned a pair of wins at Army last weekend – 6-3 and 3-2 in overtime. Air Force is now 7-6-1 on the season.
  • Mercyhurst freshman Will Schumacher carries a three-game goal streak into this weekend, which is tied for the AHA’s longest active streak.
  • Holy Cross senior forward Jack Seymour owns an NCAA-best plus-20 through 16 games.
  • Three AHA teams received votes in this week’s USCHO Poll: Holy Cross (12), RIT (8) and Bentley (3). Holy Cross (23 pts.), Bentley (22) and RIT (19) are the top three teams in the AHA standings.
  • Army hosts No. 19 UMass on Saturday at 4 p.m., while Bentley hosts New Hampshire at 5 p.m. Both games will be available on FloHockey. Niagara also hosts RPI in a non-conference series.
