The Washington Capitals’ ECHL affiliate is the South Carolina Stingrays, operating out of North Charleston, South Carolina.

Their home arena is the North Charleston Coliseum, a longtime venue that hosts the ECHL club’s regular season and playoff games. The partnership between the Caps and the Stingrays was renewed through 2025-26 for their 12th consecutive affiliated season. 

The upcoming season will be helmed by newly appointed David Warsofsky, head coach and director of hockey operations. Warsofsky took over in 2025 after serving as a Stingrays special coaching advisor and a 14-year playing career.

South Carolina won the Kelly Cup in 1997, 2001 and 2009. They also made Kelly Cup appearances in 2015, 2017 and 2021.
