The Greensboro Gargoyles are the ECHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes and the two teams are entering the first year of their partnership. The Gargoyles were founded as an expansion team in 2025, and will play their inaugural game on Oct 18 against the Jacksonville Icemen.

They start their franchise as a member of the North division where they'll play regularly against 2024 Kelly Cup champ Trois-Rivieres and playoff contenders in the Wheeling Nailers, Reading Royals and Norfolk Admirals.
