USA's roster is set for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which begins in Czechia and Slovakia on Aug. 11.

The U.S. roster for the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup is set as the top U18 Americans from outside of the National Team Development Program look to take on the world in one of the top evaluation events to start the 2026 NHL Draft season.

USA Hockey named 23 players to the roster including seven defensemen, 13 forwards and three goalies. Former Hobey Baker winner and current NTDP assistant coach Kevin Porter will serve as Team USA’s head coach.
Among Team USA’s standout players is Jack Hextall, who has already had some international success at last year’s World Junior A Challenge. He played as a 16-year-old rookie in the USHL last season with the Youngstown Phantoms, putting up 37 points in 53 games. Big things are expected from the Michigan State commit with Youngstown this season.
Another player to keep a close eye on will be Blake Zielinski, who joined the Des Moines Buccaneers during last season and really took off with 32 points in 41 games. He is committed to Providence College for 2026-27.
The tournament will offer these players a great chance to make an impression on NHL scouts, of which there will be more than 100 in Czechia and Slovakia to watch the team.
The U.S. opens the tournament with a date with co-host Slovakia on Aug. 11.
