The 2025 NHL Draft begins at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN and teams have already started to trade picks. Along with having the first pick in the draft, the New York Islanders have traded for the 16th and 17th overall picks.

Carolina Hurricanes Trade 29th Pick To Chicago
As Carolina's clock to send in their pick was expiring, a trade was announced, as the pick was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. Chicago selected Mason West from Edina HS in Minnesota.
Los Angeles Kings Trade 24th Pick To Penguins
The Los Angeles Kings traded the 24th overall pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for the 31st and 59th overall picks in the 2025 NHL Draft. The Penguins selected Will Horcoff from the Michigan Wolverines.
Senators Trade 21st Pick To Predators
The Ottawa Senators have traded the 21st overall pick to the Nashville Predators for the No. 23 and No. 67 overall picks in the 2025 NHL Draft. The Predators selected Cameron Reid from the Kitchener Rangers.
Penguins Trade Pick To... Flyers? Yep
The Penguins traded their No. 12 pick to Philadelphia, who picked Jack Nesbitt from the Windsor Spitfires.
Noah Dobson Trade Sends 2 Montreal First Round Picks To Islanders
The Montreal Canadiens sent the 16 and 17 picks in the first round to the New York Islanders. The Canadiens get back Noah Dobson.
Emil Heineman is also heading to the Islanders.
