Friday, June 27 marks the first day of the 2025 NHL Draft, and fans and prospects alike are eager to hear where their new home will reside for the upcoming season.

Forward Caleb Desnoyers stands as one of many Canadians hoping to make it big in the league, and his placement in the NHL Draft looks to be within the top 10. Desnoyers brought the Moncton Wildcats to a first-place finish in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League this past season, collecting 84 points with 35 goals and 49 assists within 56 regular-season games.

Caleb Desnoyers Most Valuable Player
Among the 10 honors Desnoyers received this season, his most recent came during the QMJHL Playoffs when he garnered the Guy-Lafleur Trophy/Playoff MVP. He recorded 30 points with nine goals and 21 assists through 19 playoff games, and he landed second overall in league playoff scoring.
He helped lead the Moncton Wildcats through Playoffs to the Memorial Cup, where they tragically ended their season.
Caleb Desnoyers Is A 3-Time Gold Medalist
Desnoyers will be entering the NHL Draft with some hardware, and it's all in gold. He won his first medal in 2023 with the Canada White team during the World U17 Hockey Challenge, where he made three goals and two assists.
In 2024, he notched one goal and four assists in the IIHF U18 World Championship, also with Team Canada.
His latest gold came out of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he also had one goal and four assists in five games. It was his third gold medal within nine months.
Hockey Runs In The Family For Caleb Desnoyers
It can be said with confidence that it's no surprise that Desnoyers already looks to be a top NHL prospect, seeing as his family lives and breathes hockey.
Desnoyer's father David played for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the distant Saint-Hyacinthe Laser.
However, David never went professional like Caleb's older brother Elliot, who plays for the Philadelphia Flyers. He was selected 135th overall by the Flyers in the 2020 NHL Draft. He also plays for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the American Hockey League.
