Roughly one week after the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup, the newest class of hockey players will find out their new homes in the 2025 NHL Draft. 

The NHL draft will begin at 7 p.m. ET from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The New York Islanders have the first pick, followed by the San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks. 

While there is no clear favorite for the number one pick yet, and several different names including Michael Misa, James Hagens, and Matthew Schaefer have been noted as potential first overall picks.

Round one will take place on Friday, and rounds two through seven on Saturday. Here’s how to watch the 2025 NHL Draft.

What Channel Is The NHL Draft On? 

The first round of the NHL Draft will be aired on ESPN and begins at 7:00PM ET. The second through seventh rounds will be aired on NHL Network and ESPN+ and will begin at 12:00PM ET.
