The 2025 NHL Draft is finally on the horizon to headline the hockey world after the Florida Panthers shut down the Edmonton Oilers to become the 2025 Stanley Cup Champions just last week.

The NHL already carried out its Draft Lottery back in May where the teams snagging the first 16 selections were determined. The New York Islanders received this year's No. 1 overall pick.

Mock drafts have circled for weeks, and prospects such as Michael Misa, James Hagens, and Matthew Schaefer have seemingly inked their names as confirmed first-round picks, among others.

This year's draft will feature talented and quality players that could make themselves the next generational superstar, but it will all come down to who decides to take a gamble on them come June 27.

Before the world finds out the next No. 1 overall pick, here's a look at every previous No. 1 NHL Draft pick since 1963.
