After taking both Game 1 and Game 2 into overtime, Abbotsford was able to settle the score in regulation this time as it garnered a 3-0 lead in the third period thanks to Jonathan Lekkerimäki lending two scores. Goaltender Artūrs Šilovs kept Charlotte at bay despite two late goals, recording 32 saves.
Both teams have been putting up an impressive fight up to this point that has shown off a level of physicality and determination that could see either the Checkers following in their NHL parent Florida Panthers' Stanley Cup success or the Canucks sealing the deal tomorrow night.
