The finale of all of this season's work is here: the 2025 AHL Calder Cup. As things continue to heat up in the Pacific Division, the No. 1 seed Colorado Eagles and No. 6 seed San Jose Barracuda are set to play in game one of the second round live on FloHockey starting on Friday, May 2 at 10:00 p.m. ET.

In the opening round, the San Jose Sharks affiliate beat Ontario Reign twice in the best-of-three series. The Eagles earned a bye after taking the top seed but will be starting their 2025 playoff stint in San Jose at Tech CU Arena.

The winner of this best-of-five series will move on to play against the winner between Abbotsford Canucks and Coachella Valley Firebirds in the Pacific Division finals. At the moment, the Canucks are up 1-0 on the series—the two face off again on Saturday, May 3.

How Does The AHL Playoff Format Work?

• All teams playing in the first round are in a best-of-three series.
• The division semifinals and finals are then decided in a best of five.
• Finally, the conference and Calder Cup finals will be the best of seven.
