After night one of the 2025 Frozen Four, the championship game is set, with Western Michigan taking on Boston University hockey.

Both teams were victorious on Thursday in the semifinals. Western Michigan hockey won a challenging game against defending champion Denver in a historic 3-2 double overtime win after Owen Michaels scored in the opening seconds of the second overtime to compete for its first national championship. It was the first double-overtime Frozen Four game since 1996

Afterward, the Terriers handled business against Penn State, who was also on a magical run, 3-1, with goals from Jack Hughes, Cole Eiserman, and Jack Harvey on an empty-net goal. This sent them to another national championship game, where they will seek to capture the program's sixth title and first since 2009.

This will be the second all-time matchup, with Boston U winning the only matchup in 2023, 5-1.
