FloSports recently announced a multi-year partnership expansion with the AHL, with all games streaming on FloHockey. As part of FloHockey’s commitment to providing authentic, comprehensive coverage of the AHL, Williams will be delivering weekly columns and analysis, bringing more context to the biggest news around the league. In addition to his editorial offerings, Williams will also occasionally appear on FloHockey’s social media platforms providing analysis and commentary.

“When we knew FloHockey would be carrying the AHL and we started thinking about how to expand our coverage, the first name that came to mind was Patrick Williams,” said Chris Peters, senior content creator for FloHockey. “Patrick’s coverage of the league is second to none in its breadth and quality. Williams’s career has spanned the various levels of hockey over 15 years with bylines at Sportsnet, TSN, and Sun Media. He also covered the Winnipeg Jets as a beat writer for five seasons, including the current franchise's inaugural season in 2011-12.

Following the 2015-16 season, Williams received the James H. Ellery Memorial Award, presented annually for outstanding media coverage of the AHL.
