The stage is set for what should be an absolutely thrilling championship series in the ECHL. The regular-season champion Kansas City Mavericks will take on the two-time defending Kelly Cup champion Florida Everblades in the 2024 Kelly Cup Finals.

It all begins Friday in Independence, Missouri at Cable Dahmer Arena, as the puck drops on what will – one way or another – be a historic championship matchup. The Everblades will look to become the first team to win the Kelly Cup in three consecutive years. Should they win, Florida would also be celebrating their fourth overall ECHL title, more than any team in league history.

The Mavericks are hoping to complete one of the great seasons in ECHL history after winning the regular-season title with a 54-12-6 record and going 12-3 so far in the playoffs. They are seeking their first Kelly Cup and the first hockey title for Kansas City in any league since 1992.
