The 2024 NCAA Division I Hockey Championships begin on March 24 with the unveiling of the official bracket while the first regional games are four days later. 

The field includes 16 teams in a single elimination tournament. All of them have hopes to reach the 2024 Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Selection Show is at 6:30 p.m. EST on March 24.

The Selection Show will be on ESPNU and streaming on ESPN+. 

How Does The NCAA Hockey Tournament Work?

Of the 16 teams, 6 conference champions will receive automatic qualification with the remaining best 10 teams being selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee. A total of 4 teams will be seeded with each of the seeded teams being placed at 1 regional site.

Friday, March 29:

• 2:00 p.m. ET - Regional Semifinal Game 1 at Providence (ESPNU/ ESPN+)
• 5:00 p.m. ET - Regional Semifinal Game 1 at Maryland Heights (ESPNU/ ESPN+)
• 5:30 p.m. ET - Regional Semifinal Game 2 at Providence (ESPNEWS/ ESPN+)

Saturday, March 30:

• 4:00 p.m. ET - Regional Final Game 1 at Springfield (ESPNU/ ESPN+)
