The USHL will kick off its 2023-24 regular season at the DICK'S Sporting Goods Fall Classic in Pittsburgh for the eighth straight year.
For the eighth straight year, the USHL will be kicking off its regular season at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex near Pittsburgh for the 2023 DICK’S Sporting Goods USHL Fall Classic. The annual event, which has brought all 16 of the USHL’s teams together under one roof, is slated for Sept. 20-25.
The event also includes a showcase for many of the top Tier I youth programs under USA Hockey's umbrella, each of which will be competing in games over the course of the same week.

However, the highlight of one of the most anticipated hockey events of the fall is 16 games with each USHL team playing its first two regular-season contests at the Lemieux Sports Complex. These ones count in the standings, which is why hundreds of NHL personnel including scouts, general managers and other executives will be on hand to get an early glimpse of the USHL's 2024 NHL Draft class and check in on some of the players they’ve already selected.
It all starts Wednesday, Sept. 20, as the defending Clark Cup Champion Youngstown Phantoms will open the USHL season at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Tri-City Storm on the FedEx rink with the Sioux Falls Stampede and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders starting things off on the Covestro rink at 8 p.m.
The next three days will feature 12 USHL contests -- four per day -- with the first games dropping the puck at 12:30 p.m. and the final games starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. The event closes out with a pair of games Sunday capped by the U.S. National Under-18 Team going head to head with the Omaha Lancers at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Every single second of the action will be streamed live exclusively on FloHockey.
Additional information for the event will be made available in the coming weeks, per the USHL.
Until then, here is the schedule that will open up the 2023-24 USHL season.
